In June 2006 AXA announced it was to acquire Winterthur. Since then the two businesses have been combined to deliver a best of breed range of Group Pensions under AXA.
Previously, Winterthur provided a range of Defined Contribution (DC) Pension products, these are pension schemes made available to employees by a scheme sponsor who is normally their employer.
Winterthur Life administers schemes for a wide range of firms in different sectors. Many of these are household names and include leading law firms, banks, telecommunications companies and pharmaceutical companies.
From 2 January 2008, the following Group Pension products are available from AXA:
Group Stakeholder Pension
Group Personal Pension
Group Occupational Pension
