Investment Manager pages

The information contained in the Investment Manager pages on this website is provided by the Fund Managers and therefore is not the responsibility of Winterthur. Winterthur accepts no responsibility for decisions made or advice given as a consequence of the information provided on these web pages. Any views or opinions presented are solely those of the Fund Managers and do not necessarily represent those of Winterthur unless specifically stated.

Adviser online services

For the purpose of this section, the following definitions shall apply:

“Certification Authority” means a reputable organisation which will undertake due diligence and verification on the adviser and/or his computer to ensure they meet the organisation’s verification standards. The adviser must also enter into annual renewable contracts with the Certification Authority before being issued with a Digital Certificate.

“Digital Certificate” means a computer file issued by a Certification Authority containing identity information on the holder of the certificate.

“Digital Certificate Revocation List” means an electronic list referenced by Winterthur, which will automatically check all advisers who request access to ensure they hold a current Digital Certificate.

“OSIS” means Origo Secure Internet Services Limited, whose registered office is at Moyen House, Heriot-Watt Research Park North, Edinburgh, Scotland EH14 4AP, Company No. Sc201466.

“OSIS Individual Certificate” means a Digital Certificate where the Certification Authority is OSIS and is used for the Winterthur adviser online services.

If the adviser wishes to use the Unipass login to access Winterthur’s adviser online services, Winterthur will only release material under the following circumstances:

  • the adviser has entered into a contract with OSIS;
  • the adviser holds a current OSIS Individual Certificate;
  • the adviser’s Digital Certificate is verified against the Digital Certificate Revocation List;
  • Winterthur accepts no responsibility for the authenticity of the Digital Certificate.

The adviser shall pay the costs and expenses incurred by it in obtaining and renewing its Digital Certificates.
