AXA and Winterthur Wealth Management appoints new IT Director

7 November 2007

AXA and Winterthur Wealth Management, part of AXA Life, has announced the appointment of Pete Reed as IT Director. Pete will report to Ian Pinnock, Chief Information Officer for AXA UK, and will work closely with Nick Elphick, MD, AXA Wealth Management.

In his new role, Pete will sit on the group’s Senior Management Team and work across the AXA and Winterthur Wealth Management business to ensure that IT and technology plays a central strategic role at the heart of the group’s business.

Pete will be based at Winterthur’s offices in Basingstoke and will have responsibility for managing the AXA and Winterthur Wealth Management IT teams. This is a key appointment at a time when the two businesses are refining their propositions, and Pete will be ensuring that the best practices from both are preserved.

Although he has taken on a new position, Pete is not new to the company, having been with AXA PPP healthcare for nearly ten years, most recently as IT Director. He comments: “I am delighted to be joining AXA and Winterthur Wealth Management at an exciting time, and I am looking forward to ensuring that technology remains an integral part of the business proposition.”

Mike Kellard, CEO of AXA and Winterthur Wealth Management says: “We understand how important IT and technology are as a platform for building strong service levels and improved functionality for advisers and our clients and we are committed to providing the very highest levels of technical support and expertise. Pete’s experience in managing IT teams and providing best practice solutions is exactly what we need to make sure that IT is at the very heart of our business strategy going forward and we are delighted to welcome him.”
