Winterthur completes adviser support drive with five consultancy appointments

31 May 2007

Winterthur completes the current expansion of its adviser support network with five new consultancy appointments.

Following six appointments this year, Winterthur has employed a further five business development managers (BDMs). The latest appointments complete the company’s 2007 recruitment drive, part of its overall growth plan to build on adviser support services in the high net worth market.

Sian Walters joins Winterthur from an executive consultant position at Scottish Life. Sian brings 19 years of experience to her new role at Winterthur. She will be responsible for supporting IFAs in Yorkshire.

Roger Grosvenor has been appointed to Winterthur’s Central London adviser support panel. Latterly BDM for Standard Life, Roger has 17 years financial services experience.

Previously field account manager for Prudential, David Stokes joins Winterthur’s sales team in support of advisers in the West Midlands. David has seven years industry experience.

Michael Owen also joins Winterthur from a field account manager post at Prudential, and has over 12 years experience in financial services. Michael will support a panel of IFAs in Liverpool, Warrington and the Wirral.

Mark Johnson moves internally from Winterthur’s head office, latterly as an adviser support manager, to support IFAs in Kent and Brighton. At 22, Mark is the youngest ever BDM to join Winterthur’s consultancy team. He brings four years of dedicated adviser support experience to the new role.

Frank Parsons, sales director for Winterthur, said: “I’d like to welcome the new BDMs to Winterthur at an exciting time of change for the company and the industry.

“The new appointments will ensure Winterthur continue to raise the bar on its award-winning service proposition. Additionally, Winterthur’s high net worth target market is on the rise, so it’s essential we maintain the high level of support and expertise advisers rely on to attract clients in this specialist market.”
