7 March 2007

Winterthur strengthens its Professional Edge adviser support service with two new appointments.

John Hancock joins Winterthur Life from a training manager role at Hartford Life, where he was a specialist point of contact for the company’s broker consultants and advisers. John has over 18 years experience in the financial services industry and has expertise across many planning areas including single premium investment, taxation and trust planning.

For Winterthur John will be responsible for supporting its business development team and the Professional Edge adviser service, in addition to developing Winterthur’s proposition in the investment bond and trust markets with the product development and technical departments.

Jeremy Lee joins Winterthur Life from Capita SIP Services where he managed the pensions technical team’s external and internal technical support service. Jeremy has over 17 years experience in the financial services industry.

In his new role Jeremy will be responsible for establishing and managing a dedicated pre-sales technical support team, providing sales support to Winterthur’s IFAs and business development team.

David Thompson, managing director of Winterthur Life, said: “The success of Winterthur’s Professional Edge over the last two years has given us the opportunity to expand the range of adviser support services and to build the team with new appointments.

“The experience John and Jeremy bring to Professional Edge will help us maintain the sophisticated level of investment planning support we offer our IFAs and their clients.”
