As part of the development of the Professional Edge range of adviser support services Winterthur Life has extended its successful ‘Winterthur Chambers’ with two new adviser education programmes.
Winterthur Chambers was launched in 2005 in partnership with the IPD management and business development consultancy, to assist advisers in the creation and expansion of effective referral relationships with solicitors and accountants. This national educational programme, featuring bi-monthly workshops, regular support and regulation updates, is a major component of Winterthur’s Professional Edge range of adviser support services.
Due to positive adviser feedback and increased demand, Winterthur Chambers has been extended to include two new ongoing programmes in Reigate and Birmingham.

- Hilton Bromsgrove Hotel – 22 November 2006
IFA Lesley Mansfield of Chartwell Associates commented after completing the Guildford Chambers programme this year: “Winterthur Chambers has helped us re-evaluate how our business interacts with other professionals. The workshops and supporting material are well put together and provide practical methods for setting up business ventures which have proved an advantage to all parties.
“Working alongside like-minded IFAs within this positive environment has also increased my confidence to approach other professionals on an equal footing.”
David Thompson, director of distribution for Winterthur Life UK added: “Winterthur Chambers acknowledges the increasing need for understanding between advisers and other professionals, especially in this period of regulation change and rising costs. Since accountants and solicitors already have relationships with high-net worth individuals, there is a strong business case for advisers operating in this market to build strategic alliances and share client networks with these professionals.”
Advisers should contact their Winterthur Life Business Development Manager about the programme and how they can join. Places are limited to a small number of companies. For more information advisers can call the Winterthur Life Adviser Support Unit on 0845 129 9993.
