Winterthur Life UK expand its Professional Edge service with new appointment

18 July 2006

Winterthur Life UK has today appointed an IT development manager to expand its Professional Edge range of adviser support services.

Harry Baldwin, who has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry, joins Winterthur Life from a freelance role providing IT consultancy to IFAs. Previously Harry spent a number of years at DBS Financial Management, latterly developing the company’s Member Technology Club to further member confidence in financial IT.

For Winterthur Life Harry will support IFAs in developing their businesses through the use of technology as part of Winterthur’s Professional Edge range of services, as well as advising the company’s field-based sales team on IT related enquiries.

David Thompson, director of distribution for Winterthur Life UK, said: “The broad range of experience makes Harry a rare commodity in the industry and as such he is a welcome addition to the Professional Edge team. Following on the back of A-Day, this year offers IFAs exciting new business opportunities. With adviser technology increasingly critical to developing new business the latest appointment expands the specialist support available to help keep advisers ahead of the competition.”
